Ok the ONLY Jimmy Stewart movies that aren't annoying--where he really is just fine are:<BR/>The Hitchcock movies already mentioned. Esp. Vertigo<BR/><BR/>It's a Wonderful Life (Lionel Barrymore helps a lot and the unscripted phone scene with Donna Reed...plus Bert & Ernie-- It's a Wonderful movie. <BR/><BR/>The Glenn Miller Story - a little slice of history here --plus Gene Krupa himself is in the film! If you like this one, move on to The Benny Goodman Story starring Steve Allen. cast includes Stan getz, Lionel Hampton and other musicians. <BR/><BR/><BR/>I can't stand watching any of his other films though. But there are so many films that I love, and he was the central star..."Rear Window" and "Vertigo" - two Hitchcock favorites... and a few comedies that he appeared as the bumbling idiot and his speech patterns were appropriate.
