I super loaded this post with links! I apologize:
I feel shitty. I gots a cold, and I blame those fires this past weekend. Our economy continues to sink even further, if that's even possible!? Our auto makers are pretty much done for! Can you believe it?! Questions remain about where Obama was actually born?! UH OH!
My fellow blogger Junk Thief will be pleased to know that my mind is very much on San Francisco as of late; that beautiful city by the bay. And that mayor! THEIR MAYOR! MY GOD! What a stud! Gavin Newsom! YEEHA! L.A. has a pretty nice looking mayor too, but not as handsome as Gavin up north! He's straight right?! Fully hetero? I wonder about that, but I'll take the rumors of his perverse heterosexuality and believe them I guess. It'd be nice if Gavin could go beyond the S.F. confines and run for governor of our state or something, but he recently upset a lot of people for being against PROP 8. He's seen as too liberal and many conservatives hate San Francisco for this reason, but those religious nuts are a dying breed anyway. Good riddance! I hope Gavin goes far in his political career, because he is so damn good looking! LOL! I'm superficial, I know.
Another S.F. politician on mee mind as well is the late Harvey Milk! I found the old documentary of his incredible life on YouTube which I still have to make time to watch, but the buzz on this gay martyr icon should be growing quite a bit in the next few weeks, thanks to the upcoming Gus Van Sant movie Milk starring the amazing Sean Penn as the legendary Harvey. Oh yeah baby! This film's got a super talented cast indeed! I can't wait! Yeah, these incredible events all happened in my very naive infancy, and ended tragically (as many of you know) with that envious homophobic sicko Dan White shooting Mayor Moscone and Supervisor Milk in cold blood.
That's all for now. This terrific band Of Montreal is playing the Hollywood Palladium this Saturday, but I have no one to go with! And they're so good too:

First to comment this time!
Sorry to hear about the cold. That so sucks. I'm checking out Of Montreal. You're posting of MGMT made me buy their cd.
And what's this about a new release of a Beatle epic? I read about that somewhere and have been waiting for you to clarify...
I too am suffering from a humdinger of a cold so you have my complete sympathy and empathy!! yuck! I keep hoping it's getting better, but so far only thing that's better is I now can talk (although for some the loss of my voice for a couple days was a blessing???)
I can't wait till MILK opens!! what a great human harvey milk was! and what a tragedy - damn dan white and damn the white's lawyer who came up with f*cking twinkie defense which of course.....
gotta go check out that band...hey make sure you look at the photo of the new pup in my hood - you'll be in love.....
Did you hear about the text message Sean Penn sent Madonna after his first man on man kiss in MILK? He told her it reminded him of making out with her! HAHAHAHAHA! Seriously. I am not making that up.
Hope you feel better soon. Herbal tea, a Vitamin C bath, and Vitamin E injections...PRONTO!
Sorry to hear you are dealing with a cold but each time I get over a cold I am reminded just how wonderful it is to be healthy. So, you have that to look forward to at least.
I am looking forward to the Harvey Milk movie as well. This has been floating around for some time (I think Robin Williams was supposed to play him at one time) so I am glad that it was made. Great cast indeed! Me likey James Franco.
Good Movie.... wonder if James Franko enjoyed the kiss too.
Oh yeah about Barrack Ossama Bin Ladin... I told you so... I told you so... I told you .. told you.. told you so. See and you didn't beleive me! Even sent you the youtube link long ago!!!
Did I happen to mention that "Milk" premiered here in Portland last Friday night? packed house....I should have gone.
Hope the cold is short lived. Thaks for the tribute to our little city and mayor. Amazingly, many locals complain about Newsom being so "right winged", mainly because he's not a raving socialist. I was a bit more than an infant 30 years ago when Jonestown and the Milk/Moscone assassinations happened like eerie bookends to Thanksgiving. How odd that the economy and Prop. 8 seem to echo the unease and force us to really give thought to what we are thankful for -- big things like Obama and little things like getting over a cold. (In time to enjoy the holiday, I hope, in your case.)
