The technology at the time was indeed primitive, and the boys were basically hooked up to the stadium's very cheap sound amplification system. The Fab Four had to play without being able to hear themselves, and it is doubtful anyone else even heard them for that matter, for the roaring hysterical screams of the crowd and fainting girls was all too much; it's as if a jet engine was constantly running.

I've always been a mega fab four fan. Have you seen the Beatles Cirque show in Vegas: LOVE? its SO AMAZING
I am writing from Hull, England. You can't beat the Fab Four, the best ever. Came from genuine music genius, something which can't be manufactured. They met as teenage friends and the torch paper was lit.
have a cool weekend wattie!
You know, I think I've seen you make that face Paul's making.
Craziness
Thumbs up for a Beatles post....or should I scream hysterically instead?
It was, indeed, a wonderful time to grow up. I remember watching the Ed Sullivan show, as a mesmerized 12-year old, and I instantly fell in love. It's been an affair that lasted my whole life. You should have been around in the sixties, Wil - you would have fit right in.
