This happened about 13 years ago, and even watching it today makes me laugh my head off! FREAKIN' HILARIOUS! GENIUS! The interviewer and the guest are equally smart-assed and witty in my opinion, with neither one of them backing down at all and keeping everyone entertained in the process. Yeah, yeah, the guest got a lot of slack and negative press supposedly for behaving like a real uncouth individual, but it was still nothing short of an interesting and roaringly hysterical moment in television history.I now give you about twenty minutes of pure LOL entertainment, one of the best interviews of all time! ENJOY:

I remember watching this when it aired. I enjoyed it more this time around.
I didn't see this when it aired though I heard about it. Considering the person I was back then I probably would have written the network a strongly worded letter threatening boycott or something stupid like that.
However...that video still reminded me as to one of the many reasons why I can't stand Madonna...because shock value does not equal talent. *sigh* I'll take Dave over her any day.
love it. thanks for the chuckle..I needed it.
I really enjoyed this at the time-- considerably less so now. This is one of the reasons I love Madonna, because she was silly and vulgar when I was being silly and vulgar, and she sort of got a clue when I feel like I sort of got a clue. We grew up together! Not to say silliness and vulgarity don't pop up now and then--I mean no one is a saint for fuck sake.
13 years already?! Madonna looks so young and watching the later videos that popped up as related on YouTube after I watched this one I notice that time has even gotten to Madge. I love Madonna and always have but especially now that she has indeed grown up and brings debate and conversation about important topics to the forefront.
Jesus Christ on a bike, did I ever need that.
it is such a moment of american pop culture history....you can whine all you want about madonna, but if that didnt cause a scandal, no one after her would have half the freedoms they do. like her or not, she changed culture. and for that she is brilliant and a true artist.
darci, you seem really uptight
pee in the shower?
