HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Many congrats are in order to PBS once again for Wednesday night's engaging, informative, and disheartening program from National Geographic called Strange Days on Planet Earth. At the rate we're going, our home, the jewel of the solar system, Earth, is going to dramatically change for the worse forever if we don't get our act together and stop its destruction.

The first two episodes of the four-part series dealt with how through travel and ignorance, humans have unwittingly moved native species from their original habitats into other areas where they do not belong threatening the native species there and causing huge problems for the environment and for humans living in the area. Termites which were once supposed to be found China were unknowingly brought to New Orleans after WWII in crates homecoming soldiers used to pack their stuff in. The wood used in these crates was perfect for these little stowaways which have now invaded New Orleans' many French Quarter wooden buildings and threatens them with eventual destruction. The Water Hyacinth, a native plant of Brazil was brought to Lake Victoria in Uganda and for a while threatened the lake's existence because it was overgrowing unabated, but was stopped thanks to a smart ecologist who brought in weevils to take care of the vicious weed. The global warming of the Earth was also discussed and the implications for animals and humans through minimal but significant climate change is something to be seriously considered!

We are all connected in one way or another, whether plant, animal, insect, or human species. What we do affects all others. There is no other way around it!

Please visit the links below and consider donating if you can. This is so important! Our precious home is at threat!

¡Viva La Música!

So, it’s the wee hours of a Monday morning here, and I am enjoying my new computer beyond my wildest dreams and fantasies. It is phenomenally fast and the cable modem Internet connection I have is so far, nothing short of superb!

I am having a blast burning CD’s and downloading music. I’ve fallen into a music phase of finding the best in Latin music, whether classic or modern. This is not a new phase, as I have been doing this since the early 90's, with artists such as Miguel Bosé, Mecano, La Unión, Maná, and Juan Luis Guerra y 440. I kind of left the Latin scene though in the mid 90's when the alternative grunge rock scene exploded and gave us some phenomenal unforgettable music thanks to Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, No Doubt, Pearl Jam, and many others too numerous to mention. Then came the late 90's and early 2000's when I went into my classic rock British invasion phase. I began to feverishly collect all that was The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and The Who of course. I think I’m now going back to my roots, only because there is some good music being made out there by Juanes, Shakira, Molotov, Café Tacuba, Gustavo Cerati, and many others. Let’s just say my CD collection is pretty impressive to say the least, but my collection of mp3's in the next year or so with this new computer should begin to look even more amazing. I mean, I’ve been out of the mp3 loop for years, not having the equipment available to even use this amazing technology. To me, NAPSTER was just one big controversial news story, not something I even used, as I never had it when it was making headlines.

Yes, I still have room for the occasional Pop Top 40 cheesy hit here and there and some good catchy Hip Hop, but for the most part, I like well-composed, lyrically smart, and well-crafted music. Rock and Roll will always be high on my list.

I am now officially into any and all kinds of music as evidenced by my growing musical tastes in the 1990's and early parts of this decade. And how could one not be? Music is such an incredible art form to which there is no equal. It soothes the soul, uplifts the spirit, sends chills down the spine, delights the brain, freezes a moment in time and brings back memories like no other except maybe the sense of smell. In any language is pretty much fine for me, preferably in English and Spanish, which are the dominant languages for music the world over.

Life is so worth living with so much beautiful sound.

93 years ago today...

An eerie anniversary to acknowledge, but the TITANIC had already hit an iceberg and was sinking fast at around this very time that I post this. Well, not during Pacific Time, but Eastern time really.

God, how truly dreadful it must've been.

The continuing saga of the severed finger!

Now this bitch doesn't want to sue Wendy's after all. Just what is this woman hiding or what was she truly scheming? How did that finger get into her bowl of chili after all? Hmmm...

"Today...today is history!" -Amon Goeth

I hate to use an anti-Semite's quote on this, but it's true! I am finally, after all these years, connected to high-speed Internet access! My lost Dell computer arrived finally in the last two weeks after being lost God knows where, my heart and soul Mikey helped me set it up, and after a two-hour delay, the cable guy finally arrived to set up supersonic Internet access! YES INDEED! TODAY...TODAY IS HISTORY! At least for me!

I cannot believe Prince Dumbo married that Afghan Hound today. How revolting and appalling! Lady Di, oh poor Lady Di is rolling over and over and over and over and over in that grave!

That finger found at Wendy's might have been planted by that lawsuit-happy woman who started this mess in the first place! GO FIGURE! I was happy just a while ago she had a case against them, and now it turns out she might of cut it off a dead relative at a wake earlier that week to put it in the chili and get herself some cash. What a twisted gross bitch!

Guess what?! The Pope is STILL dead.

That funeral this morning was something else, even though I missed most of it. I couldn't stay awake to be honest, and slept like a baby. But from what I'm reading and the pics posted on the Internet, it was quite the spectacle.

Odd I say, comparing it to the real Jesus Christ, who had such a cruel miserable death and a fairly mediocre disposal of his body. But AH! He was able to move that stone on the third day, something the Pope won't be doing anytime soon.

The Pope is still dead.

Congratulations! Thank God! My brand new Dell computer is up and running! Fast Internet service should come this Saturday, hopefully with a hot good-looking cable guy to go along with all this newfound technological pride!

And what the hell are THESE people doing???!!! (read link to story below)

I cannot dislike him, but why'd he have to say that?

So it's official, the Pope is dead, but I ran into this from the Wikipedia Encyclopedia online:

A controversial point of the John Paul II papacy is the "Halloween Letter" issued in 1986 where he applies terms to gays and lesbians such as "disordered, self-indulgent individuals who threaten the lives and well-being of a large number of people". In his most recent publications, John Paul II has identified homosexuality as an "ideology of evil", which has put the Vatican at a an uncomfortable stance with gay rights groups around the world.

EEK! I wonder if he was upset at how, many gays and lesbians have flocked to his beloved Catholic Church to become priests and nuns. What's worse is how so many of those priests have ended up sexually preying on minors and have gotten away with it!

Irony of ironies.

Requiescat In Pace

I do believe Pope John Paul II is dead by now. All everyone is waiting for is official word from the Vatican, but there's no question in my mind that he has already passed on to the next level.

And so it goes. Life. A long short joyous cruel experiment of consciousness involving our physical, emotional, and mental states.

Try explaining that.

Et Tu Brute?!

I haven’t been very interested in giving 100% of myself at my current job for about a year and a half or so, simply because I’m bored of it and frankly I need to get off my skinny ass and find a career that matches my true talents in life.

How disappointing to find a betrayer in this office who told on me to my supervisor this week for slacking off. This only because I’m trying to get her useless horrible friend in trouble for verbally assaulting me unjustly last December. And though I do not like to think myself as a racist, this bitch has made it a racial issue.

Fine you c**t! So that’s the way you and so many trivial petty f**ks in this office operate. You found a weak spot of mine and have decided to milk it for all its worth in order to get me in trouble and help the cause of your uncouth and disrespectful buddy. Stick to your race then traitor! It may have gotten O.J. free, but I guarantee for you, it will not rid ye of thy shackles, nor of his. Your intellect and goals in life are beneath mine and shall always be. You are but wasted space on this beautiful Planet, deserving the fate of convicted Nazis after World War Two: the gallows! THE GALLOWS! SEND HER TO THE GALLOWS! HER AND HER SMELLY DISRESPECTFUL SHITMAKER FRIEND AND LET THEIR FEET SWING!

Rest in peace Terri Schiavo, and may true deserved pain, death, and suffering come upon to the hypocrites, traitors, evildoers, and calumnious scoundrels who seek to do nothing but further the cause of evil and help the Devil and his minions. You just due is a’ comin’.

"
Pero, para los cobardes e incrédulos, para los abominables y homicidas, para los fornicarios y hechiceros, para los idólatras y todos los mentirosos, su herencia será el lago que arde con fuego y azufre, que es la muerte segunda". Apocalípsis 21:8

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." Revelation 21:8.

Humanity Is Disgraceful.

I cannot for the life of me understand why God allows us to even continue living on this Planet, when all we seem to do is destroy it. Our beloved friends, the animals of this world are suffering so greatly due to our abuse. The links to the following stories below are only a small sign of the true horrors going on. My soul is in pain, true pain at what we are doing to our amazing ecosystem.

WE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF OURSELVES. I AM SO DISGUSTED AT BEING A HUMAN BEING TODAY.

No wonder earthquakes, tsunamis, and other killer future natural disasters are coming our way. Mother Nature is pissed, and rightfully so.

WE ARE DAMNED AND DO NOT BE SURPRISED AT THE HORRORS THAT AWAIT US FOR OUR SIN.

Vote For Pedro.

With all the scary awful shit going on in the world today, it's nice to find a quirky, original, and witty film such as the one I was fortunate enough to see this weekend on DVD, Napoleon Dynamite.

A most hilarious truly American film if there ever was one. Bravo to the cast and crew!

YE HYPOCRITES!

It's Good Friday, and so many are off from work today even though we didn't get the day officially off.

They claim it's to observe the day and prepare for Easter. BUNCH OF LIARS. The rest of the year they're out ruining people's lives, causing mayhem, and avoiding church. Now they're devout Christians?

Hypocrisy at its finest.

“No todo el que me dice: Señor, Señor, entrará en el reino de los cielos: sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos” (Mateo 7:21).

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21).

Sue them for all they got sweetheart!

Last Friday was my nightmare scenario at the drive-thru. Now this! Sweet justice and retribution! Wendy's does it again. Dave Thomas is really rolling over now, ten times over in his grave.
