@!*$!@(%@!*%!@%*!!!

This happened about 13 years ago, and even watching it today makes me laugh my head off! FREAKIN' HILARIOUS! GENIUS! The interviewer and the guest are equally smart-assed and witty in my opinion, with neither one of them backing down at all and keeping everyone entertained in the process. Yeah, yeah, the guest got a lot of slack and negative press supposedly for behaving like a real uncouth individual, but it was still nothing short of an interesting and roaringly hysterical moment in television history.

I now give you about twenty minutes of pure LOL entertainment, one of the best interviews of all time! ENJOY:

I remember watching this when it aired. I enjoyed it more this time around.

I didn't see this when it aired though I heard about it. Considering the person I was back then I probably would have written the network a strongly worded letter threatening boycott or something stupid like that.

However...that video still reminded me as to one of the many reasons why I can't stand Madonna...because shock value does not equal talent. *sigh* I'll take Dave over her any day.

I really enjoyed this at the time-- considerably less so now. This is one of the reasons I love Madonna, because she was silly and vulgar when I was being silly and vulgar, and she sort of got a clue when I feel like I sort of got a clue. We grew up together! Not to say silliness and vulgarity don't pop up now and then--I mean no one is a saint for fuck sake.

13 years already?! Madonna looks so young and watching the later videos that popped up as related on YouTube after I watched this one I notice that time has even gotten to Madge. I love Madonna and always have but especially now that she has indeed grown up and brings debate and conversation about important topics to the forefront.

it is such a moment of american pop culture history....you can whine all you want about madonna, but if that didnt cause a scandal, no one after her would have half the freedoms they do. like her or not, she changed culture. and for that she is brilliant and a true artist.

darci, you seem really uptight
