NOCHEBUENA AND MARLEY.

AW! Let's face it, who can resist the ads for this movie? They're plastered all over Los Angeles and I assume around this country:I mean, the puppies/dogs used in the film to portray mischievous Marley are just cute as buttons, and I'm pretty sure this film is going to do pretty big business at the box office. Granted, I don't care much for Owen Wilson or Jennifer Aniston, but STILL, this flick looks adorable! The movie follows the original bestselling book to its very emotional conclusion, so it's going to be tough for me to not want to cry like a baby. I suppose most adults will be crying, but what about all those kids whose naive/unaware parents are going to take them to the movie expecting a feel good ending? MY GOD MAN! It's gonna be almost as disturbing as Bambi's mother getting shot! YIKES!

It's Nochebuena at our house, which means tamales, a hearty beef stew, and other goodies for dinner! YUMMY! Yes, a very traditional Hispanic Christmas Eve observance for us here. Wish any one of you good people could come on by and hang out, although you'd probably feel a bit lost as my mother, aunt, and brother yammer away in Spanish.

It's okay, I would gladly translate it all for ya.

Feliz Navidad everybody:

Merry Christmas Eve, WAT. Thanks for keeping us up to date on the monster Disney, Judy (yeah!), Patrick Wilson (I like the picture from Little Children on the top of your page), Coldplay, and all of the other great topics you tackle everyday for your readers, we inquiring minds who want to know what's on your mind! Well done! Here's to much more from WAT in 2009. Charlie Brown and his little tree live on through blogs like yours year round ... which is the best thing, I think, that anyone could say about any blog. Cheers, Mr. W-A-T.

feliz navidad, joyeux noël, merry christmas and the best to you this holiday and throughout the NEW YEAR!

2009!

I wish I could join your family for your traditonal nochebuena festivities. but next best thing is to my family of creation traditional christmas eve dinner.
I'm currently making posole for will soon start on the sauce for cheese enchiladas - having spent time living in the southwest and marrying into a family whose mother's family's roots go back to 16th century new mexico (before it was new mexico) I have learned to cook these wonderful foods and adopt them as my own. f's father side comes from alabama so for dessert we'll be having buttermilk pie and not flan!

feliz navidad!!

I have NEVER seen as many billboards for a movie as there are for marley and me....my goodness they must have spent a fortune making it - or something....geez they even have the dogs doing tours....thanks for the warning about the end, I never read the book and I'm still traumatized from bambi!!

Oh that is a very cute movie poster but I think if it is a tear jerker movie that I'll just wait till it hits Netflix and rent it. I hate crying at the movie theater.

Dogs and Christmas? Oh, never. Well, actually a basenji would never let herself be called a dog, and being African she prefers to recognize Kwanzaa, but Feliz Navidad all the same.

Are you suggesting the fucking dog dies in the movie? Fuck that Im not going to see that! thats emotional abuse! I would like to have a semi erect holiday without feeling that I need to take a psychotropic pill whilst viewing the list of good movies to see tomorrow. The last thing i need is to see another animal die .. albeit.. in the cinema! Talk about manipulating our heartstrings.

Oh by the way, fuck you Jennifer Aniston you elitist BORE, and nice shnozz you got there OWEN, if only I had a honker that big, maybe it could open the Hollywood doors that have opened for you. Whatever happened to talent?!?! When's talent goona be back?!!?!?

BTW I can't wait to see the Benjamin Button film.. I figured it was about him aging backwards. What a fine hobby that is. You wish Brad Pitt! LMAO! What with all those kids and more to come, good luck with that. Oh well the nanny can take care of all the foreigners.

Happy fucking Holidays!!!

Computer was down for a few days, so my belated Christmas wish is after-the-fact. A sweet lady that I see at work, shared some tamales with my office, and they were out of this world. She explained the process of her family gathering to make the tamales and I think it's a wonderful tradition.

I wish you everything good, Will, during the holidays and through next year.
