KEEPING AN EYE ON THINGS.

I have a stye (zit) under my upper right eyelid and it hurts, itches, throbs, and has swollen my poor eye to epic proportions! I look like I was in a bar fight or something. I'm doing warm compresses, drops, and just waiting it out, but man is this annoying! I look like Quasimodo, lazy eye and all.

But my ailment is nothing in comparison to yet another freakin' mass shooting in our beloved United States of America! MY GOD MAN! MY DEAR GOD! Hearing the news just made me shake my head, and it happened in yet another university with five students dead and many injured before the murderer killed himself. This is mad I tell ya. My co-worker says this is due to legislation Reagan was soft on back in the 80s which allowed many mentally ill people to walk the streets without being monitored or regulated. So now she says we have way too many screwy citizens not taking their meds and out and about when they should really be in mental hospitals even though they appear functional on a daily basis. Turns out the killer this time was off his necessary meds apparently. This is becoming as commonplace here as suicide attacks in other nations; our own form of terrorism.

It's hard to read Don Quijote with my bad eye and all, but I'm trying to continue getting on with this 1000 page-plus masterpiece...

While the second of the Indiana Jones movies was okay, the original trilogy as a whole is quite a blast, and to have the new trailer out for the new film coming out in May is pretty exciting. 19 years have passed since the last sequel, and here we are again. Amazing:

If it is a stye and not a pimple try the product 'stye' which is available over the counter. I had a stye back when I was at NYU and this helped. Hopefully they still make it.

Nazis, Arabs & tombs -- oh my! Old Harrison is definitely getting up in the years, but I still dig him. (Like I'm 19!) I always loved this series much more than "Star Wars", in part because they went to place I have been to around the globe.

Keep doing the compresses. I had a friend who used to get those damn styes every time he went to a bathhouse. So... stay away from those places and make sure mantadpoles are not mistaking your eyeballs for giant ladyeggs.

The shootings are pretty depressing. I feel terrible for that little kid up in Oxnard. What a horrible thing to happen. The shooter should be tried as an adult and so should his parents.

I cant wait to see this new Indy film. As George and Steven have said in the past that this is nothing more that a disguised James Bond series... I am looking forward to this film WAAAAAYYYYY more than QUANTUM of SOLICE.

Hope the eye is better. It probably made for a sucky, sucky weekend, being a mutating mass of flesh and all.

Be careful!
Yet another problem I've failed to address on my blog is my dear friend Valium Marilyn has an enormous boil/abscess right by her eye... her eye is all red and swollen... her dr, her son, me, everyone keeps saying GO TO MOORFIELDS ... we are lucky in London to have a specialist eye hospital ... lucky bc 2 of my best friends have been in there... (both F)... one had her eyelashes "dyed" and it went badly wrong her eyes were totally bloodshot red... Moorfields had to wash them out for about five hours and said her eyes might NEVER go back to normal... do not mess around with your eyes go straight to hospital if it gets worse I'm serious!

Warm compress? Are you sure that's the right thing? I know it brings out pus but...

ps have you actually HAD medical attention?

bloody hell the American health system stinks... I do't want to go to the drs because I don't want a 3rd rate Nigerian locum lecturing me for being an addict... YOU don't want to go drs bc it's so bloody EXPENSIVE! That is BAD BAD BAD... HILLARY was promising healthcare for all... what precisely do you think she meant?
