OPENING PANDORA'S BOX.

Well, not to be Debbie Downer, but I worry. Iran is now only a few months away from having a viable nuclear weapon. How awfully dangerous for the region, especially Israel of course.

60 some years ago, the United States beat the Nazis thankfully, and developed the atomic bomb before Hitler could ever get his grimy hands on one. The Japanese were taught a lesson by having two of their cities obliterated, and the greatest most horrifying war in human history was mercifully ended. But all of this incredible power the U.S. possessed came with a huge price. The Soviets followed, and now the chickens have come home to roost. Countries that many feel are too dangerous to own a nuclear weapon, now do and are in a race to get a hold of one, including the beloved Iranian government. What monster did we create? What door did we open? A very dangerous one, where now we are in danger of getting attacked by terrorists and where enemy countries of Israel might just use one against them to appease their hatred.

Einstein, a major contributor to the development of nuclear weapons later regretted encouraging the creation of such a destructive force, which we will probably see used again in our lifetimes.

Perish the thought.

Meh. I'm no more worried about Iran than I am that Israel, Brazil, South Africa, France, Pakistan, India and the rest of crazy people with big fuck off weapons are going to blow the rest of the world up. Remember, France doesn't like the US anymore, Brazil have "ideas", Pakistan and India could launch 10 at eachother in their sleep and thus wipe out most of Asia.

Hell, if you want to talk worry, maybe you should look closer to home: its South America for mine if you want to get worked up. I mean, they're just over your border. Watch Colombia just go apeshit with tactical nukes, sick to the teeth with being invaded by the CIA anytime a new white washing powder goes on the market. Or what if Cuba get sick of being told to "assume the position" by a coastline it can reach with a good loogie...

Tis, true...

The middle east is the least of our concerns. Yes, there are other bigger threats like Korea, Mexico, and the U.S. as well.

Come one...our government is our own worst enemy. With all the crazy special interests groups we have here. I am not suprised that some wacko (Protestent extremists/Shadow Governemnt/other) hasn't already tried something.

Oh wait....9/11. Forgot our governement orchestrated that. Yet a Nuclear war probably will happen sooner or later, becuase people intermingle and are unable to tolerate all the difference that make us special. Sigh.
